"Add Your Profile" Form

By Wednesday, January 17, 2007
Complete the "Add Your Profile" form and submit it.  The form is located under Class Roster & Profiles.  If you would like to add your picture to your profile, simply email your picture in .jpeg or .gif format as an email attachment to Cassidy_C@utpb.edu.  If you have one, please send it.  It's great to have them.  If you want to mail me a picture, that's fine, too.  I'll get it scanned and put it up for you.

1.34 Library Article Activity

The UT TeleCampus Digital Library is an online library created to support the research and library needs of TeleCampus students and faculty by providing and coordinating a variety of library resources and services. You will spend considerable time in the digital library in this course and in others. This activity is one of several in this course designed to increase your familiarity with the library. There are library instructions in Module 1. There is also a library tutorial in the UTTC Student Guide. I would encourage you to become familiar with that information.

There is a link to the UTTC Digital Library on the navigation bar in our Blackboard course, so you can jump to the library whenever you want to. Your online course, TIS, and library username and password are the same.

Ok, now that you are somewhat familiar with the TeleCampus Digital Library. It's time to practice.
Using one of the library databases (e.g., Academic Search Premier, SPORTDiscus), you are to find an article related to sport psychology.  Email your article to me at Cassidy_C@utpb.edu.  You should email it to yourself, too. Be sure to put your name somewhere - probably in the subject heading - so that I will know that the article came from you. You will see that different databases have different email options, too. Using these databases takes practice.  That's what this activity is about - practice.  Depending on your previous experience with database searches and the TeleCampus Digital Library, this assignment will take you more or less time.  Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to complete the assignment by the due date.  If you get stuck, ask for help.  You could post a question in our Module 1: Q&A in Discussion Board or contact me.
