2.35 Discussion Board Activity
Surf the Internet and find a sport psychology website to add to our list on
the TeleCampus course website - Module 2, Lesson 3, Section 3 - Sport Psychology
Websites. Don't duplicate a site that's already there. Try to find a non-commercial site. If it is a commercial
site, make sure that it has some usable information, not just an advertisement
for a Sport Psych service.
By Thursday, January 25, 2007:
Under Discussion Board, the
forum labeled Wonderful Websites, post the name of the website, the URL, and a short paragraph that will let others
know what is on the site you located. I will add your website to a duplicate URL list under Resources on our Ancillary Materials
Website. As the course progresses and you locate additional websites, please forward them to me, and I'll add them, too.
Thanks.
We hope that your journey across the Internet will provide you
with a feel for the number of sport psychology resources
that are available to you. Again, we would encourage you to let your
colleagues know when you locate websites that may be of
interest to them, too. Happy Surfing!
2.44 Discussion Board Activity
This Discussion Board activity is related to
Learning Experience 1: Asking the Right Research Question. Go to Module
2 Learning Experiences for an explanation of this Discussion Board activity.
Online Application Journal
At the end of each module,
you will be asked to post one message in your Groups
discussion board that: (1)
identifies and discusses at least three major concepts, principles, or ideas gained from the
readings and (2) describes briefly why the ideas are important or useful to you;
that is, what is your understanding of each concept and what are the implications of each concept for your professional
practice or how could they be applied in a sport context?
The aim of the online
application journal is threefold:
(1) it demonstrates that you can discuss in
your own words concepts from the readings,
(2) it provides a vehicle for relating course
content to a "real-world" context or your own work applications, and
(3) it creates a portfolio of shared ideas as a knowledge product for the
group.
